Benefits & Perks

Compensation

You are paid bi-weekly via e-transfer and your salary includes vacation pay. Your pay stub is available through PayChequer (Payment Evolution's employee portal).

Monthly Benefit

All employees receive $100 per month in addition to their base salary, in lieu of group health insurance benefits. This is a taxable benefit and appears on your pay stub.

Vacation

Sevenview Studios provides 10 days (2 weeks) of paid vacation per year. After 15 years of continuous employment, this increases to 15 days (3 weeks) per year, in accordance with the Newfoundland and Labrador Labour Standards Act.

Your vacation entitlement is prorated during your first year based on your start date.

Sick and Personal Days

You receive 5 paid sick/personal days per year. Use these when you're unwell or need to handle personal matters. Let Victor know as soon as you can when you need to take a sick day.

Scheduling Time Off

To request time off:

  1. Contact Victor Bonnah (victor@sevenview.ca) as far in advance as possible
  2. For planned vacation, give at least two weeks' notice
  3. For sick days, notify Victor as soon as you know you'll be out
  4. Victor will confirm approval and coordinate with the team

We're a small team, so the more notice you can give, the easier it is for everyone to plan around your absence.

Statutory Holidays

Sevenview Studios observes all Newfoundland and Labrador statutory holidays:

  • New Year's Day
  • Good Friday
  • Memorial Day (July 1)
  • Labour Day
  • Remembrance Day
  • Christmas Day

Probationary Period

The first six months of employment are a probationary period. During this time, either you or the company can end the employment relationship with notice as required by the Newfoundland Labour Standards Act.

Equipment

If you need a laptop or other equipment to do your work, talk to Victor. He'll coordinate what makes sense based on your role and needs.

Expense Reimbursement

Reasonable work-related expenses (meals, travel, software, etc.) will be reimbursed. Check with Victor before making significant purchases. Keep your receipts.

Professional Development

We encourage learning and growth. If there's a course, certification, or conference that would help you in your role, bring it up — we'll evaluate it case by case.
