Getting Started
Welcome to Sevenview Studios! Here's what to expect in your first few days and weeks.
Before Your First Day
Before you start, Victor Bonnah will make sure you have:
- A signed employment contract
- Access to your @sevenview.ca email (Google Workspace)
- An invitation to our Slack workspace
- Access to the relevant GitHub repositories
- A Toggl account for time tracking
- A PayChequer invitation for pay stubs
- Access to Superthread for task tracking
If you need equipment, talk to Victor — he'll coordinate what you need.
Your First Day
On your first day:
- Check your email. Confirm you can access your @sevenview.ca account and see calendar invitations.
- Join Slack. Introduce yourself in the team channel. This is where most communication happens.
- Meet with Steve. You'll have a one-on-one to go over your role, current projects, and priorities.
- Set up your tools. Make sure you can access GitHub, Superthread, and Toggl. Ask if anything isn't working.
- Start your first task. You'll be given something concrete to work on right away — we learn by doing.
Your First Week
During your first week, you'll:
- Meet the rest of the team through Slack and calls
- Get familiar with the codebase and our current projects
- Start contributing to real work with guidance from your team
- Join your first daily standup (a ~15-minute Slack huddle)
Don't worry about knowing everything right away. Ask questions early and often — everyone on the team is happy to help. Most people feel comfortable and productive within the first few weeks.

Sevenview Studios was co-founded by Steve Clarke and Clint Curtis. We're a small team where everyone is accessible — here's who can help you fastest depending on what you need.

Victor manages our client accounts and handles all HR administration.
For most day-to-day work, Stacey is your first stop — she knows the product inside and out and coordinates project priorities. For technical and design questions, go to Steve and Clint respectively. For anything related to your employment, Victor is your contact.
Your teammates are also a great resource. We're a small, collaborative team — don't hesitate to reach out to anyone.
